CORE PHILOSOPHY

Effort matters only when you compare it with result.

Large volume, large Delta, or a large trade is not a complete conclusion. Depthra reads participation together with price progress, reaction, and follow-through.

01

Measure the effort

Footprint activity, Delta-at-price, cumulative pressure, trade size, volume filters, Big Trades, profile location, and aggressive flow show where meaningful participation is occurring.

02

Judge the result

Depthra then asks whether that activity moved price efficiently, stalled, was absorbed, produced reaction, or achieved follow-through. The same positive Delta can mean something very different when price cannot advance.

ANALYTICAL LAYERS

One framework, multiple independent evidence layers.

Each layer can confirm, contradict, or qualify another. Depthra is designed to preserve that conflict instead of forcing every observation into a simple bullish or bearish label.

01

Footprint & Delta

Read activity inside each bar and at each price level.

  • Bid / Ask participation by canonical price level
  • Delta-at-price, bar Delta, and Delta Percentage
  • 1 / 2 / 4 / 8-tick display aggregation without changing underlying analysis
  • Cumulative Delta and divergence context
02

Profile & market location

Keep order flow connected to where it occurs.

  • POC, VAH, VAL, VWAP, and broader session context
  • Prior and untouched market levels when available
  • POC migration and acceptance / rejection context
  • Location-aware interpretation rather than isolated markers
03

Participation & trade size

Separate ordinary activity from statistically unusual participation.

  • Average Trade Size (ATS), Buy ATS, and Sell ATS
  • Relative ATS against historical baselines
  • AVB directional volume balance from -100 to +100
  • Up to five independent price-level volume filters
  • Big Trade detection with size-scaled bubbles at true execution price
04

Aggression, absorption & reaction

Ask whether aggressive participants are succeeding.

  • Aggressive buying and selling classification
  • Inferred absorption when effort fails to produce progress
  • Separate aggressor, absorbing, and reaction sides
  • Continuation Pressure and Reaction Pressure
  • Follow-through evaluation across later price action
05

Adaptive Reaction Engine

Deterministic adaptation without a black box.

  • Independent baselines for Bar Volume, Price-Level Volume, Trade Size, and Aggressive Flow
  • Session-aware historical calibration
  • Robust statistics including median, MAD, percentiles, and winsorized mean
  • Current bar never trains the baseline that evaluates that same bar
  • No future-bar lookahead
06

Explainable scores & auditability

Summarize evidence without presenting a prediction.

  • Long, Short, and Range analytical scores from 0 to 100
  • Scores are evidence summaries—not probabilities or automatic signals
  • Reason-coded events and explainable score contributions
  • Historical reconstruction, Market Replay, and deterministic reproducibility
  • Structured recording and diagnostics for validation and research

READING WORKFLOW

From market location to a human trading decision.

Depthra is intended to be read as a causal sequence, not as a collection of isolated alerts.

  1. 01LocationEstablish profile, VWAP, prior levels, and the structural area where activity is occurring.
  2. 02ParticipationRead volume, footprint, Delta, trade size, and unusual activity at the actual price.
  3. 03AggressionIdentify which side is actively crossing the spread and how strong that activity is.
  4. 04ReactionCompare aggression with price progress to distinguish continuation, absorption, or adverse reaction.
  5. 05Follow-throughCheck whether later price action confirms or rejects the original order-flow evidence.
  6. 06ScoresUse Long, Short, and Range scores as explainable summaries of the evidence currently present.
  7. 07Trader decisionThe trader remains responsible for entry, stop placement, targets, risk, and execution.

Dashboard context, price action, profile references, and the Delta companion panel in one trading workspace.

Depthra internal footprint and price ladder

Internal footprint

Canonical price levels with Bid / Ask activity and price-level participation inside each bar.

Depthra sell reaction example with footprint

Reaction in context

Aggressive participation is interpreted together with price response rather than from Delta direction alone.

Depthra volume zones and extensions

Volume-zone lifecycle

Meaningful participation can remain connected to later price interaction through persistent contextual zones.

Depthra Quick Settings interface

Transparent control

Quick Settings exposes visual filters and operational thresholds instead of hiding the analysis behind a black box.

Depthra trader-facing dashboard

Explainable dashboard

Market state, data quality, flow, adaptive context, and Long / Short / Range scores remain visible to the trader.

TRADER CONTROL

Manual, Recommended, and Adaptive operating modes.

Adaptive behavior remains bounded and visible. The trader can keep fixed thresholds, inspect recommendations without applying them, or allow selected domains to use adaptive effective values.

01

Manual

Configured thresholds remain authoritative. Depthra analyzes the market using the trader's fixed settings.

02

Recommended

Depthra calculates statistical recommendations while leaving the configured settings unchanged.

03

Adaptive

Selected analytical domains can use bounded statistical recommendations as their effective thresholds.

DATA INTEGRITY

Missing information is reported—not invented.

Depthra distinguishes available, degraded, unavailable, and non-directional information. Historical directional quality depends on what the data source actually provides.

  • Last / Bid / Ask market events are mapped to the relevant bar and canonical price level.
  • If Bid / Ask information is unavailable, directional metrics can be restricted instead of fabricated.
  • Historical directional accuracy depends on the data provider and Tick Replay availability.
  • Completed observations build historical baselines; the forming bar is evaluated as a non-mutating preview.
  • Future bars never participate in the baseline used to judge the current observation.
  • Deterministic calculations support replay, reconstruction, regression testing, and audit trails.

Depthra FAQ

What is Depthra?

Depthra is an explainable order-flow analysis system for NinjaTrader 8. It turns raw market activity into footprint, Delta, volume, trade-size, profile, aggression, reaction, and contextual analytics.

Does Depthra place trades automatically?

No. Depthra is decision-support software. The trader remains responsible for entries, stops, targets, position risk, and order execution.

Does Depthra use AI or machine learning for its analytical decisions?

No. Its adaptive logic is deterministic and statistical. It uses completed historical observations to build bounded baselines and does not use the current bar or future bars to train the baseline judging that observation.

Does Depthra require NinjaTrader Volumetric Bars?

No. Depthra can run on a normal NinjaTrader Minute chart and builds its own internal footprint from accepted market events. Directional quality still depends on the market data available from the provider.

What do the Long, Short, and Range scores mean?

They are bounded 0–100 summaries of supporting analytical evidence. They are not probabilities, guaranteed outcomes, or automatic trade signals, and they do not need to sum to 100.

What happens when directional market data is missing?

Depthra reports reduced or unavailable directional quality instead of fabricating missing Bid / Ask information. Historical quality depends on the data provider and Tick Replay availability.

Can I control the adaptive thresholds?

Yes. Manual mode keeps fixed settings authoritative, Recommended mode calculates suggestions without applying them, and Adaptive mode can use bounded recommendations for selected analytical domains.

Can I buy Depthra now?

Not yet. Depthra is in pre-release validation and is planned as the first MH Digital Lab commercial product. No release date or price has been announced on the site.

Risk and responsibility

Depthra provides analytical software and decision support. It does not provide financial advice, guarantee a setup, predict an outcome, or remove market risk. Order-flow evidence depends on the quality and availability of market data, and the trader remains responsible for configuration, interpretation, risk management, and execution.
